Members from the EcoSiPas project team convened at BIOFACH in Nuremberg, Germany. BIOFACH is renowned as the world’s leading trade fair for organic food, serving as a pivotal platform for industry pioneers and newcomers to exchange ideas and showcase innovations. During the event, our team engaged with stakeholders to explore and enhance market opportunities for non-timber forest products from Brazil’s Cerrado region. Especially the Baru nut, a nutrient-rich nut gaining popularity for its taste and health benefits, is likely to have high potential. The interactions have informed our strategic planning for upcoming project activities, aiming to expand European market access for sustainable products like Baru.
